Take Out the Trash Before Christmas Break
With Christmas Eve on Tuesday and Christmas and the first night of Chanukah on Wednesday, this week may be a short one for you and your staff. With that in mind, I’ll keep this week’s “to do” simple. . .
- Clean out the fridge: Throw away the leftover takeout box that’s been in there since the week of Thanksgiving and the half drunk ice coffee from when it was ice coffee weather, and then clean the fridge shelves and doors.
- Check your medical supply closet and treatment room cabinets for expired injectables, medications and topicals (bacitracin, silvadene, etc.) and discard them (making sure to order more if you don’t have backups).
- Take home a copy of your 2024 financial policy and compare it to the one attached here and decide if you want to change anything as of 01/01/2025. If you do make changes, review the new policy with each staff member so they can answer questions patients may have.
